Overview

Aggressive players can give their feet all the support they need in the Propulse Fury. The Propulse line takes a leap forward and is re-engineered to maximize stability, durability and comfort for the modern player. Babolat identified 9 key pressure points on the foot and uses Active Flexxion technology to provide cushioning, support and responsiveness to all those areas. In addition, the improved Michelin rubber compound is more resilient than ever before, allowing weight to be taken out of the outsole while still providing exceptional durability, even for those that are very hard on their shoes. The outsole is backed by a six month durability guarantee.

  • Upper: Synthetic materials and mesh combine for lightweight comfort, support and breathability. Power Belt technology locks in the heel and midfoot with an external shell for exceptional stability.
  • Midsole: EVA midsole with Kompressor technology for good cushioning, support and responsiveness under foot.
  • Outsole: Improved Michelin rubber compound in a tread pattern that offers great durability and traction on any court surface. Backed by a six month durability guarantee.
  • Color: Blue / Navy (2021 Pure Drive themed)

Babolat Propulse FuryFirst time playing pickleball they were very comfortable and didn't require any break in. So far so good. Have had many complements on them.

warranty replacement. As a 3.5 skinny male player, it lasts about 54hr of casual play (4 months playing 1.5 hours twice a week) Love the snug fit great for wider feet. I had tried all other major bands. This one fit the best. 6 months warranty claim requires filling out the serial number. Suggest taking photo of serial number when new. Otherwise may have hard time reading it after months of play.

Great shoe with one major flawFor context my usual shoe is the superb Ubersonic 2. The Fury is a great shoe in terms of fit, stability and overall comfort. Very plush inner lining. Grips the heel well, an issue I can have with some shoes. It feels light yet stable. Materials look really robust. I would have preferred a herringbone sole, but I've not had any issues with grip except when the courts are damp and the sole seems to clog up with clay more than a herringbone pattern. The one big issue I have, and I don't know why nobody else has run into it, is the really hard plastic support panels on the side to which the laces are attached. It is so hard, high and sharp that it punctured my skin on my left ankle and left a sore that I need to plaster in order to play. I had to cut and trim the plastic as much as I could without compromising the eyelets. It's helping a bit but I can still feel my inner ankle bones hit the hard plastic whenever the feet are stretched wide. I'm going to continue to file away at the plastic until it works because the rest of the shoe is indeed great. I wouldn't buy this again, but will definitely buy if they fix this on the next iteration.

All style, no functionBig disappointment with this shoe, as I was very happy with the fit and durability of the older Propulse Fury and just needed to replace them. These have a poor fit and terrible lacing system that digs into my ankles when tightened. They tried to emulate some other brands with bubble-like plastic asymmetrical styling. It's a loser. Several tennis friends have asked "whats with the weird looking shoes?". I don't expect this model to stay around too long.

Fit great, nice stability, relatively lightSo far, so good. I tried on 3 or 4 other tennis shoes, and these fit my wide feet by far the best. I bought them about a half size large, and with my D/E width, they fit really well. They seem to hold your heel nicely, are stable, and provide good support for my high arch. They seem somewhat light weight, and they are reasonably priced. So far, so good!

Best Shoe of 2023?I would like to nominate a shoe for your next TOP 5 list - the BABOLAT PROPULSE FURY 3. I have tried all the top five shoes on this list, and I have to say, these are pretty sweet! They are very well balanced shoe with great stability. A nice performing shoe all around. Cushioning is good, fit is medium, maybe a smidge generous compared to something like a Barricade. This shoe is a better performing shoe all-around to the Asics Court FF3, the Asics Resolution 9, the Adidas Barricade, or any Nike shoe made today. It feels a bit like a Diadora Blushield shoe in terms of cushion but like a Barricade in terms of stability. Closest shoe I can think of to compare it to might be the Diadora B.Icon - which is high praise in my book. I just got my pair, but so far, I like it a lot. Definitely a shoe to try out. Could be the best shoe of 2023!

Low Quality and BulkyI'm returning this shoe. Within two hours of playing part of side fell off and the sole is already starting to peel away.

Not the sameI used to use these shoes 10 years ago for 5 years straight but, had switched over to Nike for my shoes. So when it was time to get new shoes I wanted to try these again, however I don't feel they are the same quality they were years ago and seem to be more plastic like. Ordered Nike ones to compare and was more impressed with the Nike. Hope this helps someone.

PinchesI have been using Babolat shoes for years, specifically the SFX, which doesn't seem to be available anymore. So I thought I would give the Fury a try. Nice looking shoes. They get compliments. But they pinch my toes. After a couple of sets I have to force myself to run because it hurts. I think I just need a wider shoe. So I'm giving a 3 rating because although they don't work for me, they might for someone else.

Best ModelHey Pickleball friends -- if you are looking for a good shoe, I would try the Propulse Fury. I have tried a few of the models made by Babolat and these are the best so far. I hope they continue to bring out new colors as this shoe is comfortable and very stylish.

Comments: The shoes themselves are great, but the grommet that holds the shoelace in place broke on both sides of each shoe.
